According to Lusa and based on SEF data, the investment raised through the golden visas in the first half of 2022 was 316.2 million euros. This represents an increase of 33%, compared to the same period last year.
In the first half of 2021, the investment raised through the Residence Permit for Investment (ARI) program was 237.6 million euros, 33% less than in the first six months of this year (316.2 million euros).
In June, the investment raised with the golden visas amounted to more than 77.9 million euros, an increase of 44% compared to May (53.8 million euros), and more than doubled compared to the 36.4 million euros recorded in the same month of 2021.
In total, 155 gold visas were awarded, of which 126 were by the acquisition of real estate (68 by urban rehabilitation), 28 by transfer of capital, and one by the creation of jobs.
In total, this semester, 649 ARI were assigned (In January 94, in February also 94, in March 73, in April 121, in May 112, and 155 in June).
The investment in the purchase of real estate totaled 62.2 million euros in June, of which 23.9 million in urban rehabilitation, while in the transfer of capital the value was 15.6 million euros. Through June, 30 golden visas were granted to China, 30 to the USA, 14 to Turkey, 11 to India, and 10 to Brazil.
Since the ARI concession program was launched in October 2012, 6,416,041,013.55 euros have been raised through this instrument. Of this amount, the majority corresponds to the purchase of real estate, which totaled last month 5,759,842,687.84 euros, and the acquisition for urban rehabilitation amounted to 458,270,264.62 euros.
The investment resulting from the transfer of capital is 656,198,325.71€, translated into 10.903 ARI allocated.
